FAQ Home
Are there any clinical studies performed under FDA testing guidelines that compare active ingredients?
No. Whether based on FDA recommended test methods or not, clinical studies do not compare active ingredients; they compare products which contain specific formulations containing active ingredients along with other ingredients which may enhance or detract from their effectiveness. A product’s directions for use, volume of solution applied, and applicator design will also affect its efficacy independent of the active ingredient(s) it contains.
