Is ExCel_AP^® the same as Betadine^®?

No.

Betadine was the first Povidone-Iodine (PVP-I) product on the market and the name has since become synonymous with all PVP-I containing formulations.  ExCel_AP^® is a formulation that contains a combination of 7.5% PVP-I and 72% Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA).  Betadine Topical Solution contains 10% PVP-I and Betadine Scrub Solution contains 7.5%; neither contain alcohol.
