Why do the INS Standards conflict with the CDC Guidelines for the Prevention of Intravascular Catheter-Related Infections?

Two reasons...

1. They were created by separate organizations with different perspectives.
2. They were published at different times; different sets of information (literature articles) were considered in developing the recommendations made.
